Verhaert helps Antwerp diamond sector to become ‘future-proof’

The City of Antwerp is making a budget available to support the Antwerp diamond sector in response to the Corona crisis. Verhaert Masters in Innovation, leading service provider in innovation, will support the sector to innovate successfully.

Diamonds: a crucial economic driving force

Antwerp wants to be a prosperous innovative region that attracts new businesses and sustainable investments. That is why Antwerp invests in both the main economic drivers, such as port, logistics, industry, diamonds and sales, and in future growth sectors like digital innovation, circular economy and creative entrepreneurship.

The diamond sector can create many growth opportunities by exploiting interactions with future growth sectors. Compliance, innovation and technological improvements will strengthen the diamond companies from the bottom up and make them future-proof. Digital technologies, such as AI, blockchain and IoT, can innovate the diamond sector on many technological levels through traceability, online platforms and screening, among other things.

Renewed vision & broader ecosystem for diamond sector

Verhaert Masters in Innovation offers innovation expertise, methodology and process management to develop, together with the City of Antwerp, a renewed vision and broader ecosystem for the Antwerp diamond sector.
