Material shortages are a rising threat in product development. To better manage materials, you need collaborative innovation throughout the value chain and technological advances. In this talk, Pieter Billen from UAntwerp highlights the technological prospects of (thermo)chemical recycling of predominantly polyolefins (PE and PP). Next to a technology overview, a glimpse is provided on predicting “recyclability” quantitatively and more universally, as a guide to designers and consumers.
